Speaking Sessions

  • Creating Professional Applications with the LinkedIn Javascript API

    2:45 PM Sunday Room: 4306

The LinkedIn Javascript API framework allows web developers to integrate the linkedin platform into their applications. This session will walk through the code needed for the creation of an application which uses LinkedIn's faceted search to browse through people in their network.

Online example: http://www.princesspolymath.com/facetbrowsesmall.html
The tutorial will cover the functionality in that example:

Find people in your network first degree

Combine company and school search

After this session developers will have the tools and pointers they need to integrate LinkedIn into their own applications. There will be code! And this session will be paced so that developers can follow along and create the application on their own system (or take the information to play with later). The tutorial is also available online for later reference.

Workbook, including links to all tutorial pieces for the session is available at http://developer.linkedinlabs.com/tutorials/svcc/
