    As layoffs and studio closures continue in traditional mainstream development, exciting possibilities are erupting as the video game industry evolves and the democratization of development empowers the masses to satisfy their creative urges. This presentation will highlight some of the latest trends in the video game industry in the areas of social network games, mobile applications, independent and serious game development to name a few. There will also be commentary on what is happening with mainstream development on home consoles and computers. The major takeaway is that you will be better equipped to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the changing video game landscape. Oh, and there will be cake.
