About This Session
Introductory session on Google App Engine, Google's service for deploying Python- or Java-based web applications to Google's scalable infrastructure. I'll take you through a live demonstration of building a real-world Stack Overflow-like application from scratch, touching on the various services of App Engine such as the scalable datastore, user authentication, and task queues, and by the end of the session, we'll have a fully functional web app that can be deployed.
