Sales Tax was added last year at Twilio for US customers. I will talk about how the project was built using a fault tolerant and eventually consistent design. Coded in scala using functional programming principles, I will cover lots of code examples explaining how we went functional and asynchronous. Utilizing technologies: Scala, DynamoDB, SQS, ScalaZ, Asynchronous Programming
