Fun and Games with JavaScript+Processing

In this hands-on workshop, you will be introduced JavaScript and Processing to create animations and games in the Khan Academy programming environment. You will also see how develop in your own environment with JavaScript and p5.js library.

About This Session

Grade: 6+ Level: Beginner - Intermediate JavaScript is the only programming language that runs natively in all major web browsers. It can also be used to develop server code. Processing is a software library for visual arts and creative computing. It can be used to create a wide range of applications from animation to interactive games. Applications developed in JavaScript can also be deployed as mobile apps (outside the scope of this session). In this hands-on workshop, you will be introduced to the wonderful programming courses and development environment in Khan Academy to build animations and games in JavaScript and Processing. You will also see a demonstration of how the same programs can be developed in your own environment with JavaScript and p5.js.
