We’ll cover information relevance, proximity, information in parallel, emphasis, smallest effective difference, contrast, size, color, text, fonts, borders, and signal & noise. We’ll show how existing user interfaces can be improved. If you don’t have a graphic artist on your team, this session will show you how to fake it, and if you do, this session will show you how to communicate with them persuasively. We’ll also present a compelling business case for great UI. Regardless of whether you’re building applications for the web, desktop, or mobile, you’ll learn how to reduce visual noise, lower barriers to entry, enhance clarity and make your applications a pleasure to use.
