Hands on introduction to Parallel Management Patterns

About This Session

Understanding the nature of any parallel problem is key to determining the appropriate solution. Parallel Management Patterns (PMPs) provide a framework for decomposing and authoring scalable, fault-tolerant parallel solutions. In other-words, if the end goal is some parallel application, PMPs enable us to classify the journey to the end goal in terms of the nature of parallelism to be exploited in domains spanning finance, life sciences, electronic design, IT, visualization, and analytics. In this session, attendees will get a practical, hands on introduction to PMPs with real examples that leverage both open source and commercial parallel frameworks and parallel languages.
