About Craig
Craig has been working in the tech industry for over 20 years. He has been at both large companies (NetApp and LinkedIn) and startups. He has programmed in many languages; FORTRAN, C, Perl and, most recently, Python. He is the author of "Salt Essentials". More recently, Craig has been working as an SRE. His position at LinkedIn gave him valuable insight into the challenges with working at scale. He is applying those lessons at a startup; Matterport.

    SaltStack software automates infrastructure management. This talk will give a quick introduction to the architecture of salt (including master and minions). Then will dive into running execution modules on many hosts. We'll finish up with some example of salt states.
