  • The Ecosystem of Context: How to Play

    1:15 PM Sunday   Room: 4203
Search, which was supposed to have been a technology of last resort, has become the de facto tool of choice in the age of information. However, as technology pervades deeper into our lives, we must look beyond search, and instead look to model, capture and exploit user context. This session is 50-50 strategy and software design, with the latter part focusing mostly on context data handling. You can follow the speaker @pmehra (Twitter). Also look out for a Special issue of IEEE Internet Computing on Context-Aware Computing: Beyond Search. http://t.co/CQ0Avxs Pankaj continues to work on context-aware computing. Extracting the context of work from emails is the primary focus of his work at Whodini (http://www.whodini.com), where he is CTO. Related work on computational law can be found at http://codex.stanford.edu where he is an Industry Advisor.
