About Don
I have over twenty-five years of experience in custom business application design, development and delivery for clients of all sizes in a wide range of industries. I grew up in New York City and graduated from Cornell University where I was first introduced to computers in 1975. My skills include expertise in requirements gathering, Agile practices, team mentoring and reusable application development frameworks and their implementation. My company Outformations designs and builds custom software, helps our clients adopt Agile practices and provides architectural JumpStarts for teams building high value enterprise class systems utilizing reusable application frameworks and patterns, and is moving into cloud with Force.com, Salesforce and Azure. We have gained a wide variety of experience over the years with other database and application development technologies including Lotus Notes/Domino, DB2, ASP (classic), ColdFusion, Php, Java, Access, Visual Basic and Visual FoxPro. I am former Director, VP and President of the Bay Area Association of Database Developers (BAADD), and I am founder and leader of the .NET Developers User Group since August 2002.

Not Available x   Room: Not Assigned
Agile development seeks to increase the value of software development by increasing the feedback available to the team. Join Barton Friedland and Don Robins as they explore critical relationships between agile software development practices and tools designed specifically to support these practices.<br/><br/>In this lively and informative session / facilitated discussion, they map agile practices to Microsoft's Visual Studio Team System 2010, an integrated platform for work item / bug tracking, source control, build management and automated testing, shared intranet portal, process guidance, and a data warehouse that automatically aggregates important project data like code churn and build quality on an ongoing basis.<br/><br/>We will review key practices that work better when supported by integrated tools, such as sprint planning, test-driven development, and continuous integration designed to improve team collaboration, project quality, velocity, and transparency (Original title Tools for Agility)
