Azure Cloud Storage for Everyone!
by Robin Shahan
5:00 PM Saturday Room 4301
You can use Windows Azure Blob Storage even if you are not running applications in Azure. You can host html web pages, content, customer files, application deployments (such as ClickOnce), etc. I will show the basics of accessing blob storage through the storage client library APIs -- uploading blobs, downloading blobs, iterating through directories to see the blobs listed, what assemblies you need to add to your application, etc. All of these APIs can be called with REST as well.

Robin Shahan has over 20 years of experience developing complex, business-critical applications for Fortune 100 companies such as Chevron and AT&T. She is currently the VP of Technology for GoldMail, where she recently migrated their entire infrastructure to Microsoft Azure. She is a Microsoft MVP in Windows Azure, and can be found on twitter as @RobinDotNet.

Azure for Developers
by Robin Shahan
3:30 PM Saturday Room 4301
Come see how to leverage your .NET skills to branch out into Windows Azure development. In this fast-paced talk, we will develop a WCF service and build a client to call it, showing you how to use all of the features in Windows Azure -- SQL Azure, Diagnostics, Web Roles, Worker Roles, Blobs, Queues, and Tables -- and discuss when and why you should use each one.

Node.js on Windows Azure
by Neil Mackenzie
11:15 AM Saturday Room 4202
Node.js now fully supported on Windows Azure. WebMatrix 2 provides developer tooling for Node.js. The Azure SDK for Node.js SDK supports interaction with core services including Windows Azure Storage and the Windows Azure Service Bus. There are various deployment options including PaaS Cloud Services (web and worker roles) and Windows Azure Web Sites. In this presentation, you will see how to develop and deploy Node.js applications on the Windows Azure Platform.

Neil Mackenzie has been kicking the tires of Windows Azure since PDC 2008. He works for Satory Global, helping companies use the Windows Azure platform. Neil wrote the Microsoft Windows Azure Development Cookbook for Packt Publishing. He is a Microsoft MVP for Windows Azure. Neil tweets occasionally on @mknz.
